If your floor vacuum has various attachments, use the attachment that is meant for the stairs. If not, be sure to have a lightweight, go-anywhere vacuum that can be used for multiple purposes. A hand-held vacuum is great on stairs, the interior of your vehicle, and for those quick cleanups around the house that even kids can easily use. A cordless one will allow more freedom, yet the corded one give you piece of mind never having to worry about a dead battery. The choice is yours.
